Bearing and Shaft Wear from Shock Loads
Coal feeders experience constant impact loads as bulk material cascades into the trough. Over years of operation, this repetitive shock stresses bearings, degrades bearing races, and causes shaft runout. Spot replacement of one bearing doesn't address underlying misalignment or wear in the bearing seat. A full rebuild replaces all bearings, re-machines bearing bores to exact tolerances, corrects structural misalignment, and validates shaft runout to specification.
