Long-Term Moisture and Steam Damage
Paper mill environments are inherently wet. Moisture and steam penetrate seals, corrode bearing races, degrade lubrication films, and cause structural oxidation. Over years, this accumulated corrosion weakens shafts, causes surface pitting on bearing components, and compromises the structural integrity of journal boxes and supporting frames. Spot replacement of individual bearings or seals provides only temporary relief; the underlying moisture-driven degradation continues across all systems.
