Step 1: Comprehensive Assessment & Disassembly
We begin with a full inspection of your meat grinder while still assembled, documenting damage, wear patterns, and performance issues. We then perform complete mechanical disassembly—removing the motor/drive system, grinding chamber, auger, blade and plate assembly, all bearings, shafts, seals, couplings, and structural supports. Each component is cleaned, measured for wear, and cataloged. This detailed assessment reveals hidden damage and determines exactly which components require replacement, machining, or refurbishment versus those that can be reused. It also identifies the root causes of failure (misalignment, inadequate lubrication, contamination ingress) to prevent recurrence.

Step 2: Component Inspection, Machining & OEM-Spec Replacement
Worn components are sorted into three categories: refurbish, machine, or replace. Grinding blades and plates are inspected for chip fracture, dullness, or uneven wear; those beyond reconditioning are replaced to OEM specifications. Shafts are measured for runout and taper damage; excessive wear is corrected by precision grinding to restore design tolerances. Bearings showing wear, spalling, or play are replaced with OEM or equivalent high-quality units. Gears and couplings damaged by shock or wear are replaced. All seals—including lip seals, O-rings, and gaskets—are replaced with sanitary-grade materials. Drive belts, pulleys, and fasteners are replaced as needed. Every replacement part meets OEM specification and food-safety standards.

Step 3: Precision Reassembly & Alignment Verification
Components are methodically reassembled in reverse order, with each step verified to OEM torque specifications and alignment requirements. The auger-to-blade clearance is set precisely to ensure uniform grinding action and minimize jamming. Shafts are aligned and measured for runout; bearings are seated and preloaded to specification. The grinding chamber is reassembled with proper gasket seating to ensure sanitary integrity. All electrical connections, controls, and safety interlocks are verified for proper function. Lubrication points are filled per OEM specification, using food-safe lubricants where applicable. The entire assembly is checked for smooth rotation, absence of binding, and correct play at critical interfaces.

Step 4: Load Testing & Performance Verification
Before return to your facility, the rebuilt grinder undergoes comprehensive performance load testing. We run the machine through operating cycles under controlled load conditions—starting unloaded to verify mechanical smoothness and bearing function, then gradually increasing load to verify that grinding action, drive torque, and cooling all perform as designed. We measure vibration levels at critical points and verify they are within acceptable ranges. We test emergency shutdown and safety interlocks. We document all measurements, performance metrics, alignment readings, and component replacements on a comprehensive rebuild report. This report serves as verification of GMP compliance, regulatory documentation for food-safety audits, and a baseline for future maintenance scheduling.
