Long-Term Moisture & Steam Damage
Pulp processing environments are inherently wet and hot. Prolonged exposure to moisture, steam, and condensation corrodes bearing races, accelerates seal degradation, induces pitting on mechanical interfaces, and promotes internal rust on shafts and structural members. Spot repairs of individual bearings or seals provide temporary relief, but corrosion has already damaged adjacent components. A full rebuild removes and inspects all wetted parts, replaces corroded elements, and restores protective finishes.
