Long-Term Moisture Damage & Corrosion
Pulp plant environments generate continuous moisture exposure through steam, process water spray, and humidity. Without consistent drying and preservation protocols, bearing races corrode, shafts develop rust pitting and loss of concentricity, seals fail prematurely, and painted surfaces lose protection. Corrosion reduces shaft diameter, increases runout, and degrades bearing fit—symptoms that spot repairs mask but do not resolve.
