Complete Colloid Mill Rebuild Process
A full mechanical rebuild restores your colloid mill to OEM performance and regulatory compliance. We combine detailed assessment, precision disassembly, component replacement and machining, meticulous reassembly, and comprehensive testing—all documented for GMP traceability.

Step 1: Comprehensive Assessment & Teardown Planning
We inspect your mill in situ, document baseline performance, and photograph all assemblies. We then disassemble the unit under controlled conditions, segregate components, and perform metallurgical and dimensional analysis. This phase identifies corrosion severity, crack initiation, bearing damage patterns, and rotor/stator gap erosion—informing rebuild scope and part procurement.

Step 2: Precision Disassembly & Component Cleaning
The mill is fully disassembled to the base casting. Each component—rotor, stator, bearings, seals, shafts, couplings, gearbox, motor mount, and all fasteners—is carefully removed, cataloged, and cleaned using approved food-grade solvents and media. We preserve critical surfaces and perform 100% visual and dimensional verification against OEM specifications.

Step 3: Component Restoration, Machining & Replacement
Worn rotor and stator cones are precision-ground to restore original gap geometry and shear efficiency. Shafts are inspected for straightness and runout; if drift exceeds 0.05 mm, they are straightened or replaced. All seals, bearings, coupling elements, and drive belts are replaced with OEM-equivalent or superior components. Corroded or compromised housings are refinished; structural welds are NDT-inspected and reinforced if needed. All work is documented with photographs, material certs, and dimensional hand-offs.

Step 4: Precision Reassembly, Alignment & Validation
The mill is reassembled in a controlled environment with torque-verified fasteners, concentricity and runout checks at each bearing position, and final coupling alignment to motor centerline (within ±0.05 mm). All seals are installed with care to avoid edge damage. Electrical controls and instrumentation are integrated and tested. Before shipment, the mill runs through a loaded performance test to verify fineness, power draw, and thermal stability against baseline specifications.

Step 5: Final Testing, Documentation & GMP Compliance
The rebuilt mill undergoes full-load operational testing under representative slurry conditions. We verify particle size distribution, motor amperage, vibration, and temperature profiles. All work is documented with a detailed rebuild report, material certifications, inspection records, and as-built drawings—providing full traceability for GMP audits, regulatory filings, and quality assurance. The unit ships with a performance guarantee and comprehensive rebuild certificate.
