Gear Tooth Wear and Spalling
Continuous high-load mixing causes progressive wear on helical gear teeth, beginning with surface pitting and advancing to deep spalling that reduces load-carrying capacity. Flour and dough particles trapped between meshing gears accelerate this degradation. Spalled gears create noise, vibration, and risk complete tooth failure during production.
